The Maurten Drink Mix 320 is a sports drink mix that, when combined with water, provides both hydration and a lot of energy, with one serving containing 80 grams of carbohydrates (500mL). Normally, as soon as the concentration of carbohydrate in a drink is increased, gastric emptying slows down, resulting in less fluid and carbohydrate delivery to the body...and thus, stomach problems. Maurten has found a way to avoid these problems by using hydrogel technology.
The Drink Mix 320 features:
- High concentration of maltodextrin and fructose
- 80g of carbohydrates when mixed with 500mL of water so you can make use of up to 90g of carbohydrates per hour
- Instant conversion from sports drink to hydrogel in the acidity of the stomach
- Patent-pending hydrogel technology that enables smooth transportation of the carbohydrates through the stomach to the intestine, where the water, salt and carbohydrates are absorbed.
Consume the Drink Mix 320 before, during and/or after activity. Mix the content of each sachet with 500 ml of water and shake well until dissolved. Be careful - you need to get the ratio right for the hydrogel technology to work. The mix is designed to be mixed with water with <40mg/L calcium content. Higher levels can affect how it's dissolved.
